Whilst Goodly Dale Cottage Homes have been in existence since the 1930’s many local residents remain unaware of their function as almshouses.

​The fact that the organisation is a registered charity, reliant of the goodwill of its trustees for governance and on careful management of its income and investment portfolio to safeguard its future financial sustainability, being little considered. 

All this is in addition to the trustees seeking to provide as pleasant an environment for its residents as cost effectively as possible.

Whilst our residents are all self sufficient, and capable of independent living, this does not mean that some do not get lonely and to overcome this our Warden seeks to provide activities  and events that will help engage those that wish to participate.

Any contribution, either in time or financially, to our organisation can make a real difference to the lives of our residents.
